Berniece Boucher's Obituary
Mrs. Berniece Boucher, age 79, passed away Monday, January 23, 2006 at her home. She was born April 3, 1926 in Sparta, MI to George and Isabelle (Nelson) Ferguson and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. Prior to retirement, she worked over 50 years as a cosmetologist and had owned and operated the Village Salon of Beauty in Ravenna for 9 years. She had been a member of Olivet Evangelical Free Church. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, William G. (Sandi) Gowin of Roosevelt Park and Robert V. (Cathi) Gowin of Grand Haven; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, George (Olly) Ferguson of Muskegon and Arlin (Jenny) Ferguson of Grand Haven; any many nieces and nephews, including Jack Swarts. She will be dearly missed by 2 very special friends, Bill and Pat DeWolfe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Richard Wortelboer, and her daughter, Barbara J. Scheuneman. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 26, 2006 at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating.
