Bert A. Gould's Obituary
Mr. Bert A. Gould, age 71, passed away early Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. He was born on March 10, 1947 in Montana. He was the son of Charles and Alice Gould, and went to Muskegon Heights schools and graduated in 1966. Bert worked at Misco on Park St. in Muskegon, and then Howmet-Alcoa in Whitehall for 34 years. He married the former Patricia Cavanaugh on June 8, 1968 in Muskegon. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Bert and Patricia have two sons, Mark (Gloria) Gould and Mike (Christine Romanosky) Gould; six grandchildren, Gwen, Izabella, Brooklyn, Christian, Matthew and Dannielle. Bert has one brother, Charles (Sharon) Gould; two sisters, Phyllis Snyder of Texas and Susan (Frank) Towsley of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews, and their two special cats, Samantha and Baby. Bert loved bowling at Maple Lanes and Northway, and was on leagues for many years; almost getting a 300 game (289). He also enjoyed golfing and loved the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). Bert kept score of Detroit Tiger games all the time, and went to March Madness basketball games every year. He enjoyed his grandchildren very much, and fishing and hunting with his dear friends. Bert and Pat enjoyed sitting together with friends around a fire in the evenings and having a cook out. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2PM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Wednesday, and 1 hour prior to the service. With Bert being such a big Michigan fan, the family encourages you to wear your U of M clothing to Visitation on Wednesday.
