Bertha Jean Jones' Obituary
Ms. Bertha Jean Jones, age 76, passed away in Muskegon on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She was born in Columbus, Mississippi on January 3, 1947 to Jessie and Vera (Edwards) Jones. Bertha had worked as a material technician for American Coil Spring for 41 years prior to her retirement in 2008. She was a generous woman that enjoyed helping others. Bertha loved visiting Lake Michigan and cooking, especially soups and pies. She is survived by her son, Reginald Moore; three grandchildren, Cheniquea Rodriguez, Jalen Moore, and Nathan Podein; five great-grandchildren, Ma’Kenzie, Jalen Jr., Egypt, Martel, and Kehlani; one sister, Queen Burton; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Travis Jones and Jessie Jones; and three sisters, Virginia Moore, Maggie Harris, and Mattie Jones. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
