Beryl Dawn Hunt's Obituary
Beryl Dawn (Potter) Hunt, age 86, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023. She was born October 11, 1936, in Blendon Township, MI, to Cornelius and Gertrude (Hoekstra) Potter. She graduated from Zeeland High School in 1954 and lived most of her life in the Nunica area. She worked for Leigh Products in Coopersville for 23 years and retired in 1996.
Beryl loved camping, baking cakes and cookies. She was also well known for her homemade seafoam and tons of other candies. She enjoyed making teddy bear cakes and special request birthday cakes for her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
Beryl will be deeply missed by her children, Cheryl (Michael) Tague, Robert (Heather) Hunt, Connie Palmer and Ronald Hunt; grandchildren, Sara Tague (Jeff Pung), Lindsay Tague-Overkamp, Amanda Lawson (Brian Cogswell), Rob Chadwick, Sarah (Jason) Louks, Sam Hunt, Dan Hunt, Travis Palmer, Elijah Palmer, Kyle Palmer, Noah Palmer, and Amber Hunt; great-grandchildren Corbin, Johnathon, Lyric and Ethan; brother, Alan (Helen) Potter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ilene Potter, Maxine Ritzema, Phyllis Hassevoort and Glennys Oros; brothers, Richard Potter, Lawrence Potter and Lewellyn Potter; and grandchild, Aaron Green.
A Private Family Service will take place per her request. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417).
