Bessie Alice Vellenga's Obituary
Bessie Alice Vellenga age 96, of Muskegon, MI died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Bessie was born on October 13, 1916 in Moorland Township, MI to the late Isaac D. and Clara B. (Maycroft) Hage. She married Simon Vellenga in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1979. The family would like to thank Hospice of Michigan for their great care of Bessie.
Bessie is survived by her son: Ronald J. (Jean) Vellenga of Muskegon. 1 Sister: Arlene Radeck of Grand Rapids and several step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Bessie was preceded in death by: Parents, Husband Simon, 1 Brother: Gerald and Edna) Hage. 3 sisters: Myrna, Thelma and Orpha
Funeral Services for Bessie will be conducted on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11:00am at the Lakes Community Church in Muskegon. Burial will be in Moorland Cemetery in Ravenna.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm to greet friends.
