I loved talking to Aunt Beth! When she wanted to tell me something, it was like she was letting me in on a huge secret that we were conspiring to keep from the rest of the world. It might have been about a bargain she had found, a cleaning product like no other, or a vitamin that everyone should be taking to ensure good health. Whether or not I acted upon what she told me, I enjoyed being “in on it” with her!
When I would spend Sunday afternoon with Cheri (a favorite activity), Aunt Beth would sometimes make plain white rice for a quick dinner before we went back to church for the evening service. I loved that soft, moist white stuff with lots of butter! Eating that rice with my cousins at Aunt Beth’s kitchen table is a fond childhood memory. For some reason, I cannot replicate that satisfying bowl of rice - or Aunt Beth’s amazing baked beans. If anyone has that recipe, please share! 😉
Aunt Beth had the joy of Jesus within her. That was the reason for her constant smile and desire to share the gospel. Now she can enjoy her Savior and all that heaven has to offer with Uncle Elwood, Grandpa and Grandma, and all twelve of her siblings! A Brondyke reunion like no other!
