Beth L. Rubley's Obituary
Beth L. Rubley, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Beth was born on May 3, 1956 to Doug and Rita (Reister) Borns in Muskegon. Beth enjoyed being in nature and going on hikes. She could spend hours watching the waves of Lake Michigan and the calm waters of Little Traverse Lake. While Beth had a wonderful and goofy sense of humor, she also loved her family with all her heart. She sincerely cherished every moment spent together with them, whether it was while hiking with Buddy to the lakeshore or boating in the summer sun with her husband and daughters. Everyone who was blessed to know Beth found her affectionate and thoughtful personality to be contagious. On June 9, 1979 she married the love of her life, Kirk Rubley and they spent 40 happy years of marriage together. Kirk survives her as well as their daughters, Cassie Rubley (Mike Dean), Cara (Mike) Balmer; brothers, Randy (Cheri) Borns, Rick (Carla) Borns; close cousin, Julie (Jay) Balgooyen and her most faithful companion, her loving dog, Buddy. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Beth will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Mark Olsen officiating, visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
