Bethel "Ray" Bowman Jr.'s Obituary
Bethel “Ray” Bowman, Jr., age 67, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023. He was born November 6, 1955 in Carthage, TN to Bethel Ray Bowman, Sr. and Elaine Marie (Sink) Bowman. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at Everett Piano Company and later as a carpenter for Tiara Yachts for 34 years and retired in 2020. On September 17, 1977, he married Kathy Ann Johnson in South Haven, MI and she preceded him in death on May 2, 2017. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and fishing, but mostly spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include 3 children, Juanita (Israel) Oviedo, Benjamin (Jamie) Bowman, Jason Bowman; 8 grandchildren, Alicia, Joshua, Katelynn, Benjamin Jr., Jaden, Jayla, Madelinn and Wyatt; 2 great grandchildren, Ember and Kingston; 1 brother, Christopher (Tonya) Bowman; and 2 sisters-in-law, Judy Baker and Patty (Tom) Smith. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Jeff Bowman; and 1 sister, Pat Ingraham. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 4, 2023 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442, with Rev. Aaron Gregory officiating.
