Bethelee Ann Kordecki's Obituary
Bethelee was born to eternal life on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, passing peacefully in Muskegon, MI. Bethelee was born November 6, 1925, to Donald and Irene (Murphy) Beard in Muskegon. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School grades 1-12 and graduated in 1944. Bethelee married Stanley Kordecki on May 17, 1947, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. They met while in high school, and he was the love of her life. She was a chartered member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Muskegon. Bethelee had many jobs during her life but the one she loved the most was taking care of her family. She lived most of her life in Muskegon, but in 1987 Stanley and Bethelee relocated to Longboat Key, Florida, where Bethelee lived for the next 20 years working at the Colony Tennis Club. Then she moved back to Michigan in 2006 to be closer to family. She was a proud and beautiful woman and ahead of her time in fashion and beauty. Bethelee raised her 10 children with a vision of great things for them and a strong belief in God. She was a strong role model for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and she will always be remembered for her loving heart. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Sr., sons Mark and Jeff, great grandson Owen Osborn, son-in-law Gary Klingler, siblings – Donna, Russell, and Patricia. She is survived by her sister Carolynn, her children Colleen Klingler, Michael (Sherry), Joli (Daniel) Reinecke, Bethelee Taylor, Laurie (Robert) Powers, Timothy (Jami), Stanley Jr, Kimberly (Marc Dettman), daughter-in-law Brenda, grandchildren Jennifer, Jason, Hope, Ryan, Ross, Gary, Karla Kay, Michael Joshua, Michelle, Michael, Luke, Jessica, Daniel, Jillian, Korigene, Kathleen, Mark, Jake, Alex, Kevin, Christa, Stanley, and Nicholas, and 31 great grandchildren. Bethelee will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery with her husband, Stanley, at a private family service. In lieu of flowers, Masses may be offered for the repose of the souls in purgatory at your local Catholic Church.
