Bethy J. Sims' Obituary
Bethy Jane Sims, age 71, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Beth was born in Skokie, IL, on October 9, 1954, to Vernon and Nellie (Currie) Anderson. She worked for many years in sales for Brunswick, and then for some time as an administrator for Sullivan Township before retiring.
Beth enjoyed spending time at home but also enjoyed the occasional casino bus trip or winery tour, where she made many friends over the years. She had a sarcastic sense of humor and a love for coffee. She enjoyed spending time making diamond art and shopping on QVC, especially for jewelry.
Beth will be lovingly remembered by her two children: Courtney (Ben) Omell and Eric Sims; four granddaughters: Willa and Eleanor Omell and Olivia and Sophia Sims; and two siblings, Ron Anderson and Karen Anderson-Ahrens. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be held for Beth from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Sullivan Township Hall (8138 Heights Ravenna Road, Ravenna, MI 49451). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heaven Can Wait Animal Haven.
