Betty J. Beattie's Obituary
Betty Jane Beattie, age 85, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at Seminole Shores Living Center. She was born May 7, 1937 in Blanchard, MI to Clarence and Nellie (Loughlin) McAllister and lived in the Muskegon area since 1952. On December 7, 1953, she married Nelse Beattie in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2006. Betty was a member of First Wesleyan Church of Muskegon. She was also devoted homemaker and great cook. She enjoyed crocheting, her family visits and playing games. Survivors include 3 children, David (Linda) Beattie, Daniel (Cathy) Beattie, Dale (Sue) Beattie; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 1 sister, Iva Elliott. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Thursday, October 20, 2022 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 21, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at The Lee Chapel on Friday. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
