Betty Jane Blais' Obituary
Betty Jane Blais, age 76, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020. She was born on July 27, 1944 in Muskegon to Florence Shineldecker and Henry John Sattler and resided in the area most of her life. Betty worked as an International Shipping Coordinator for Thermal Disk for close to 25 years, and various other jobs after retirement. She enjoyed her family, playing computer games with her daughters, and doing yardwork and small projects. On February 14, 1998, she married Sam Blais and he survives her along with her two daughters, Cammy Maxwell and Pamela Willea; five grandchildren, Ryan (Alicia VanLue) Willea, Travis (Rachel) Willea, Joshua (Mariah) Maxwell, Joseph (Ariel) Maxwell, and Jasmine Maxwell; two great grandchildren, Makenzie Willea and Eddison Maxwell; two sisters, Nancy Beeman, Mary Leatherman; three brothers, Donald Giddings, Bruce (Debra) Giddings, John Giddings; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Frank Giddings; great-great grandson, Zachary Willea; and aunt, Hazel Hamm.
