Mrs. Betty (Rowe) Durgan's Obituary
Mrs. Betty L. (Rowe) Durgan, 86, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her home. She was born October 14, 1928 to Arthur and Doris (Beals) St. Amour in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Betty was a member of First Christian Church, enjoyed making crafts, gospel and country music, going for rides to Lake Michigan, camping and cook-outs. She was married to Raymond Rowe, and he preceded her in death in 1994. On March 20, 2004 Betty married Sherwood “Jerry” Durgan, and he survives her along with 4 children, Sharon (Mike) Barnhardt, Joice Masunas, Rita (Joe) Holub, Brian (Millie) Rowe; daughter-in-law, Lori Rowe; 4 step-children, Steve (Nancy) Durgan, Dan (Marilyn) Durgan, David (Sarah) Durgan, Cindy (Mitch) Molyneux; 100 grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Jerry (Sandra) St. Amour, 2 sisters, Mary Jo (Bill) Gillard, Jolene (Roger) Croff; 1 sister-in-law, Cecelia St. Amour. She was also preceded in death by 4 children, Nancy, Edward, David and Richard; granddaughter, Linda; grandson, Lee; son-in-law, Curtis Masunas; brother, Dick St. Amour; and sister, Caroline Zellner. THE FUNERAL SERVICE for Mrs. Durgan will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 5, 2014 at the First Christian Church, 2755 Holton Rd., with Pastor Robert D. Grams officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION at the Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 will be from 6-8 PM Thursday.
