Betty J. Exelby's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Joan Exelby, age 89, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Heartwood Lodge. She was born on July 12, 1927 in Toronto, Ontario to Frank and Ada Alice (Johnston) Bartlett. On June 7, 1952 she married Lloyd Exelby and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2000. Betty was a member of Olivet Evangelical Free Church and belonged to their “Second Milers Club”. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping with family and friends and reading. SURVIVORS include two children, Tim (Patricia) Exelby of Fruitport and Sandra (Eugene) Doom of Spring Lake; three grandchildren, Jason Exelby, Jessica (Logan) Mastbergen, and Matthew (girlfriend, Stephanie Szymas) Doom; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Bradley Mastbergen; and many nieces and nephews. Betty was also preceded in death by her sister, Mable Baker. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11AM Friday, April 28, 2017 at Olivet Evangelical Free Church (6790 Harvey St.) with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
