Betty Jean Fogg's Obituary
Betty Jean Fogg, age 91, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Monday, August 29, 2022. Betty was born on March 25, 1931, in Muskegon, to her parents, Henry and Leta (Mendham) Connell. Betty was a graduate of Muskegon High School. On May 23, 1953, she married David Fogg, and they spent 61 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2015. Betty loved to do sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, and she always had something baking in the oven (especially her butter cookies and her infamous disappearing brownies). She enjoyed knitting, collecting coupons, and her monthly trips to the Little River Casino. She liked going on walks, and the birds in the area appreciated that she kept her multiple birdfeeders well-stocked. She was a social person who loved to spend time with people, including the Blue Bonnet Hill Thursday Morning Breakfast Club that she met with every week. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Brian Fogg, Ron Fogg, and Paul (Christy) Fogg; three grandchildren: Andrew (Katie) Fogg, Samantha Fogg, and Vance (Victoria) Bruce-Fogg; two great-grandchildren: Brandon and Brayden Bruce-Fogg; three siblings: Howard (Carol) Connell, Gail Eichorst, and Dennis (Patricia) Eichorst; and one brother in-law, Robert Fogg. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; and sister, Marie Gowell. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be taking place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place from 9:30-11:00 AM.
