Betty Jane Garzelloni's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Jane Garzelloni, age 90, of Nunica passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at home. She was born August 1, 1927 in Grand Haven to Albert and Mary (Florjancic) Yemc. On May 22, 1948 she married Pasquale “Pat” Garzelloni in Grand Haven and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2005.
Betty grew up in Grand Haven and spent many wonderful years with her friends Vinci and Bernice at the beach. She was a 1945 graduate of Grand Haven High School. Betty was an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Coopersville and the oldest active member of the Slovenian Farmers Club. She was an avid reader and a talented cook, and thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her family.
She is survived by four daughters: Gayle Ann (Thomas) Pearo, of Muskegon, Mary Lynn (Michael) Morden of Nunica, Teresa Marie (Steve) Huston of Norton Shores, Elizabeth Jane (Kelly) Boeve of Spring Lake; three sons: Patrick Thomas Garzelloni of Spring Lake, Christopher John Garzelloni of Spring Lake, and Michael Albert Garzelloni of Muskegon; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Lou Yemc; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lauren Antoni Garzelloni; her brother, Bernard Yemc.
A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 4, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Coopersville with Father Ayub Francis Nasar officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018 at The Spring Lake Chapel (213 E. Savidge St.) with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. Interment will take place in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.
