Betty A. Hansen's Obituary
Mrs. Betty A. Hansen, age 85, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 in Muskegon. She was born on June 6, 1927 in Muskegon to Peter and Mabel (Caswell) Slager, and resided in the area all of her life. Mrs. Hansen was a member of Calvary Church. On March 29, 1947 she married Frank Hansen, Jr., who preceded her in death on January 16, 2010. SURVIVORS include 3 daughters, Kathy J. Hansen of Auburn Hills, MI, Ruth A. (Robert) VanDongen of Hudsonville, and Patricia L. (Nick) Lawlor of Thornton, CO; three grandchildren, Nicole and Kelly Lawlor and Becky (Dan) Lott; and two brothers, Robert Slager, and Thomas (Maria) Slager. Mrs. Hansen was preceded in death by 7 siblings, Evelyn Hage, Lucille Harrington, Leona VanDonkelaar, Lona Slager, Mae Slager, Belle Richards, and John Slager. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 12 noon Thursday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Terry Fulk officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Wednesday. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Calvary Church will be appreciated.
