Betty J. Hlodan's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Jean Hlodan, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2020. She was born on June 19, 1928 to Mathias and Delia (Vallee) Charron in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, Betty married William Hlodan on May 18, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2012. Betty is survived by her children, Linda (Bill) Kriesel, Bill Hlodan, Sue Loy and Debra Hlodan; four grandchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Boersema, Sydney (Steve) Hannah, Michelle (Jeff) Minnerick and Hallie (Eric) LaFever; six great-grandchildren, Ethan, Evan and Eli, Brianna and Brandon, Levi and one more on the way; and favorite little poodle companion, Chewie. Also preceding Betty in death is her grandson, Timmy Boersema; son-in-law, Doug Loy; and seven siblings. Per Betty’s wishes, no services will be held. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI, 49444.
