Betty Jean Hogan's Obituary
Betty Jean Hogan, age 92, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 16, 2020. She passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord and was reunited with her husband of 56 years John “Jack” Hogan, who she married on January 28, 1950, in Muskegon. John “Jack” preceded her in death on July 27, 2006. She was born April 28, 1928, in Muskegon, to Albert and Elizabeth (Cook) Lawson.
Betty was a volunteer teacher for catechism classes. She loved spending time with her family, going to the beach with her husband. Betty loved spending time in her garden, sprinkling her beautiful flowers, and will be lovingly remembered as the most beautiful flower of them all.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Michael (Suzanne) Hogan, Marty Hogan, Jodi Leech, and Lisa Hogan; three grandchildren: Derek (Lisa) Fricano, Molly (Marco) Gouveia, and Kelly Hogan; three great-grandchildren, Elliot and Ian Fricano and Lilyana Gouveia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Norman, Robert, and Albert Lawson, Jr. and four sisters: Lucille Janczyk, Louise Stein, Nellie Leonard and Maxine DeYoung.
