Betty Jean (Houseman) Lindell's Obituary
B. Jean (Houseman) Lindell went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2023. She was born December 15, 1928, in Ravenna, Michigan, to Ernest and Pearl Reinhold. On February 27, 1948, she married Louis A. Houseman. She was an active member in her home church and enjoyed volunteering and playing the organ at nursing homes and the Salvation Army. She was an excellent seamstress and made both her daughters wedding dresses. Her family was near and dear to her heart, and she treasured the times she could be with them. Through the years, she has encouraged and touched many lives. She is survived by three children: Denise Morse, Dan (Sandy) Houseman, Debbie (Don) Richards; six grandchildren: Jeff (Cece) Houseman, Kristy (Chris) Miles, Tracy (Dean) Watkins, Ray (Amanda) Morse, Jr., Kevin Richards, Ken (Stephanie) Richards; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Louis Houseman and Stu Lindell, son-in-law Raymond Morse, two brothers Robert and William Reinhold, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family would like to thank TJ and Jennifer VanDyke and the staff of Legacy of Caring Assisted Living for the wonderful care and love they gave her. Per Jean’s request, the family will have a private graveside memorial service. Memorial contributions in memory of Jean may be made to Legacy of Caring, 1302 Warner St., Whitehall, MI 49461. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
