Betty J. Hyde's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Jean Hyde, age 81, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at home. She was born November 21, 1931 in Grand Haven to Joseph and Elizabeth (Hacklander) Zlotnicki.
Betty was a member of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians. She had worked at Snyder Dairy and Electrical Assembly. She also watched her grandchildren in their early years. She was more than a wife and mother; she was a friend who was always there for her children and grandchildren. She will always be in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
On October 2, 1954 she married Elmer Hyde in Grand haven and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2012. She is survived by 2 children, Mike (Lori) Hyde and Terri (Mike) Hubbell, both of Grand Haven; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother-in-law, Jim Hyde. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Joe Zlotnicki; and 1 sister, Marietta Hyde.
In accordance with Betty’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Memorial contributions in Betty’s memory may be given to Harbor Hospice, the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association. Interment will take place in Lakeshore Cemetery.
