Betty J. "Pat" Town's Obituary
Betty Jane “Pat” Town, age 75, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016. She was born November 16, 1940 in Muskegon to Carl and Mabel (Hess) Stoops. Pat worked for Hackley Hospital for 30 years before her retirement in 2005. She was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church, and was excellent at crocheting, quilting, and crafts. On March 26, 1960 she married Donald F. Town in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 2008. SURVIVORS include her son, Donald F. (Sherri) Town, Jr. of Northern Indiana; daughter, Pamela J. Town of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren: Nathan (Melissa) Town, Deborah Town, Jacob Town; 3 great-grandchildren: Micah, Elliott, and Levi Town; and a sister, Joan (John) Pietila of Spring Lake. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Stoops. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Pat will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2016 at Fellowship Reformed Church with Rev. Mike VanKampen officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
