Betty P. (Baker) Larson's Obituary
Mrs. Betty P. Larson, age 88, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Bradenton, FL. She was born January 29, 1925 in Sydney, NSW, Australia to James and Amy (King) Curry and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1946 then settled in Muskegon in 1947. She married Cleatis H. “Bud” Baker in New Castle, Australia on August 18, 1944, who preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Louis J. Larson in Muskegon on July 12, 1986 and he preceded her in death in 2001. Betty was employed at Clarke Floor Machine until her retirement in 1985. She was an active member and past President of V.F.W. 3195 Auxiliary. Betty moved to Palmetto, FL in 1995 and was a member of Palmetto United Methodist Church. She is survived by 4 children, Richard H. Baker of Coopersville, Alfred J. (Kathy) Baker of Orlando, FL, Russell A. (Carol) Baker of Norton Shores and Janis A. Davis of Whitehall; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ralph B. Baker and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Monday, June 3, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Pastor Jeff Bowman officiating. VISITATION will be held Sunday 2-4 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Norton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 3195 Camp Troter Children's Fund, 5209 Grand Haven Rd. Muskegon MI 49441.
