Betty Jean McCarty's Obituary
Betty Jean McCarty, age 77, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Trinity Health – Muskegon Campus. She was born October 18, 1946 in Cliftonville, Mississippi and lived in the Muskegon area since 1966. Betty married Celester McCarty on May 17, 2005 in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2022. Prior to retiring, Betty worked 33 years as an assistant supervisor for J.C. Penney Department Store. She was a member of New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444, with Rev. Clarence Guy officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family.
