Mrs. Betty J. Peck's Obituary
Mrs. Betty J. Peck, age 83, passed away Wednesday morning, August 22, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born August 25, 1928 in Muskegon to Jay and Grace (Johnson) Carey, and was a life resident. Mrs. Peck was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and had worked as a coordinator in the emergency room at Hackley Hospital for over 20 years before retiring. She loved to travel, especially to see her children and grandchildren. The former Betty J. Carey married Bruce F. Peck, Sr. on May 8, 1948, and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2004. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Susan (Tom) Waggoner of Muskegon, Gregory (Ann) Peck of Portage, MI, Michelle (Mike) McNabnay of Hartford, MI, Debra Peck of Muskegon, Todd (Martha) Peck of Mason, OH, Amy Peck of Muskegon; 1 daughter-in-law, Nancy Peck of Frankfort, IL; 14 grandchildren, Donald Waggoner, Daniel (Laura) Waggoner, Kara Waggoner, Kristin Waggoner, Eric (Tracy) Peck, Denise (Gil) Villasenor, Allison Peck, Kevin Peck, Jennifer Peck, Nathan Peck, Phillip (Katie) McNabnay, Jill McNabnay, Andrew Peck, Benjamin Peck; 6 great-grandchildren; Derek, Aiden, and Wyn Waggoner, Cole TerHaar, Grace and Lucas McNabnay. She was also preceded in death by a son, Bruce Peck II; 3 brothers and 1 sister. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Mrs. Peck will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, September 9, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Rev. Robert J. Conradt officiating.
