Betty J. Press' Obituary
Betty J. Press, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017. She was born on November 28, 1929 to George and Mavone (Dean) Hanson in Muskegon. On March 18, 1949, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Press, and they spent 67 happy years together. Betty was not one to have the attention turned on her, but she was always welcoming to friends and family; hosting many 4th of July family reunions. She was a lifelong member of Fellowship Reformed Church, and active in sons of Norway and the B.B.F.L.A. She will be missed by those who knew her. Betty is survived by her husband, Lloyd Press; children, Robin (Rodney) Hollowell, Jim Press, Mark (Darlene) Press, Christine Sterling; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Wayne Sturgeon; and sister-in-law, Kathryn Seymour. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Sturgeon; brothers, George “Bud”, Donovan, LaMoyne. A memorial service for Betty will be held at a later date.
