Mrs. Betty Jane Sovacool's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Jane Sovacool, age 81, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on May 10, 1930 to John and Olga (Carlson) Bromley and was a life resident of the area. Mrs. Sovacool was a graduate of Muskegon High School. She had been employed by Moline and Associates as a bookkeeper for several years before her retirement. Mrs. Sovacool was an active member of First Baptist Church where she served on the board of Trustees and was a deaconess. Betty and Jack loved to travel with their camping club, the Dragon Wagon Trailer Club, wintering at their home in Florida, and going on cruises. On March 20, 1954, Betty married Jack Edwin Sovacool in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Lynne Hodges of Auburn, IN and Sharon (Matt) Rushcamp of Fruitport; 3 grandsons, Andrew, Stephen, and Jared; 1 brother, Donald (Arlene) Bromley of Whitehall; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Roger Bromley. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. , 231-798-1100 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 9:30 – 11:00 AM Wednesday. MEMORIALS may be made to Harbor Hospice – Poppen Residence.
