Mrs. Betty J. Tisch Crancer's Obituary
Mrs. Betty J. Tisch Crancer, 89, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 12, in Grand Rapids. She was born May 6, 1927 to Albin and Ebba (Clausen) Tolley in Grand Rapids, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1973. Betty had worked at Catholic Social Services and at B&G during WWII where she installed rubber strips on airplanes. She also worked at a candy company, a dairy and American laundry. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, wii bowling, playing cards, cake decorating, bingo and golfing. Betty was married to Heber Tisch, and he passed away in 1984. She later married Ray Crancer, who passed away in 2006. SURVIVORS include 7 children, Louis “Lou” (Anne) Tisch, Sherry (Dan) Holmes, Sandy (Gilbert) Sanchez, Matt Tisch, Scott (Joyce) Tisch, Kevin (Kim) Tisch, Gerald “Chip” (Josephine) Tisch; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Marjorie (Don) Jansen; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria and Jerry Hecocks; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Tisch; her sister, Jean Squires; and her brother, Richard Tolley. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 16, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with her granddaughter, Rev. Cassie Williams officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Contributions in memory of Betty may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
