Betty Arlene Thompson (Wilkerson)'s Obituary
Mrs. Betty A. Thomspon (Wilkerson), age 74, passed away at her home in Grant after a long illness on Thursday, December 8, 2005. She was born on August 20, 1931 in Muskegon to Louis and Thelma (Woodward) Bartell, and was a resident of Muskegon until moving to Grant in 1997. Betty was employed by Bemis Tekmold of Muskegon for 13 years before retiring. She attended Bible Baptist Temple Church. Betty was a big fan of country music and was a member of the Tracey Byrd Country Singer Fan Club, and had been involved with the Muskegon Recreation Club before retiring. She loved bowling and bird watching. On May 8, 1971, she married Wesley A. “Kayo” Thompson, and he preceded her in death March 2 1994. She is survived by 2 children, Randy (Kathy) Wilkerson and Sue Ann (Jeff) Hawes; 6 grandchildren, Kellie, Jody, Dean II, Paul, Denny, and Scotty; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Tootie (George) LaVasseur, Charlotte Yelvington, and Judy (John) Twork. She was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Faith Wilkerson, and her parents. SERVICES will be 2PM Monday at
