Betty J. Kiesgen's Obituary
Mrs. Betty J. Kiesgen, age 76, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Betty was born on Feb. 19, 1935 to the late Roscoe Mathews and Virginia (Pender) DePottey, and was a life resident of Muskegon. She married Joseph Franklin “Joe” Kiesgen on Dec. 6, 1952, and he died June 6, 1998. Betty is survived by two sons: Charles (Linda) Kiesgen and Thomas (Bonita) Kiesgen; a daughter, Carol Ann Kiesgen; nine grandchildren: Charles Jr. (Rebekah), Joseph (fianceé Samantha), Jake, Krystal (Eric), DeeDee, and Jason; four great-grandchildren: Kendall, Elliott, Alex, and Zabian; brothers: Charles (Audrey) Mathews and Wayne (Linda) Mathews; a half-brother; two half-sisters; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, a brother, a half-sister, and two nephews. The FUNERAL SERVICE for Mrs. Kiesgen will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 12, 2011 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100 with Bishop Steven Hamman officiating, and interment in Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-3 P.M. Monday.
