Betty J. Parker's Obituary
Mrs. Betty J. Parker, age 82, died Friday morning, January 20, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born on October 14, 1929 in Muskegon to Gustav and Margaret (Schultz) Mauritz and resided in Muskegon her entire life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she belonged to their Altar Guild and prayer chain. Betty retired from SD Warren after working there over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, was an avid reader and enjoyed crafts. On November 29, 1947 she married Dean Parker, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2003. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Diana (Ray) Blais, Joan (Paul) Zeedyk, Sandy (Kim) Cooper and Mark (Margaret) Parker all of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Betty was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ruth Galoit and Edith Mauritz. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 12noon Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church (3225 Roosevelt Rd.) with Rev. Dennis Lassanske officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 11-12PM. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery.
