Betty Jane Morrison's Obituary
Mrs. Betty J. Morrison, age 91, passed away Monday afternoon, June 13, 2011 in Whitehall. She was born July 28, 1919 to James and Glenys (Raynor) Vanderweele in Detroit, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She was a member of First Congregational Church. On September 29, 1939 Betty married Elwin C. Morrison. SURVIVORS include her husband Elwin; 3 daughters, Shirlie (John) Start of Twin Lake, Janyce (Richard) Vitek of Twin Lake, Glenys (Maurice) Sage of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Shirley Shillinger of Ludington; 2 brothers,Glenn (Gloria) Vanderweele of AZ, William “Bill” (Betty) Vanderweele of N. Muskegon. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 with Rev. Paul Burmeister officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
