Betty Jane Reus' Obituary
Betty Jane Reus, age 91, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010, at a local care facility. She was born March 30, 1919, in Grand Haven to Elwyn and Alice (Coomer) Brown and she married Albert L. Reus on September 3, 1937, in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1986.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Grand Haven and enjoyed flower gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie (Greg) Westfield of Rhome, TX; two daughters-in-law: Marzieh Reus of Grand Haven, Carol Reus of Whitesville, NC; sister Dorothy Dykstra of Florida; brother Frank (Harriet) Brown of Grand Haven; six grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna Jean; two sons, Larry and Richard; two sisters, Margaret Erickson and Phoebe Strazanac; and one brother Robert Brown.
The Funeral Service for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Rev. Kathy Colliver officiating. Friends may meet the family from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday December 7, 2010, at the funeral home in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
