Betty Jean Colligan's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Jean Colligan, age 65, lost her battle with cancer Sunday, February 26, 2006, at her home. She was born May 3, 1940 to Arthur and Johanna (Slenk) Sova in Holland, MI. On July 6, 1957 she married Charles “Chuck” Colligan in Muskegon. Betty loved crafts and taught ceramics in her home for many years. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, kayaking and Lake Michigan sunsets. She was a founding member of B.L.I.S.S. As Betty joins her parents, 2 brothers, Ken and Bernie, and infant son, Jeffrey, in heaven, she leaves behind many loved ones including her husband, Chuck; son, Steve (Elizabeth) Colligan; daughters, Deb (Bob) Lothschutz and Lori (Jim) Lothschutz; 9 grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Ron (Frances) Sova and Don (Joy) Sova; sisters, Bonnie (Bob) DuBridge, Joyce (Rich) Mockerman, Sharon (Marty) Kieft and Audrey (Wayne) DeMarr; sisters-in-law, Vonnie Sova, Elsie Sircher, Clara (Don) Egeler and Barbara McPhaul; brothers-in-law, Fred (Sue) Colligan, Ron (Joyce) Colligan and Ray (Karla) Colligan; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11AM Saturday, March 4, 2006 at
