Betty L. "Little Betty" Bonevelle's Obituary
Mrs. Betty L. Bonevelle, age 84, passed away Saturday evening, November 21, 2009. She was born March 8, 1925 in Marquette, MI to Calvin and Maude (Morin) Beerman. Mrs. Bonevelle was a member of St. Michael the Arch Angel Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Catholic Daughters. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, was an excellent cook and baker, and also enjoyed gambling. On November 22, 1944 she married Dearl J. “Shorty” Bonevelle at St. Peters Cathedral in Marquette, MI and he preceded her in death on October, 12, 1999. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Michael (Pam) Bonevelle of Spring Lake, Patricia (Taylor) Jackson of Twin Lake; 6 grandchildren, Mary (Sara Boswell) Bonevelle, Andrea (Hans) Weinburger-Bonevelle, Nick Bonevelle, Jamie (Bradley) Hatcher, Gayle (Doug) Morrell, Joseph (Nicholette) Vaandering; 8 great-grandchildren, Branden, Jonah, and Jalen Hatcher, Trigg, Shea, and Dion Vaandering, Noah Morrell, Gavin Weinburger; special nephews and nieces, Carol Ward, Sandy Sugerbaker, Betty Stever, Joni Weaver, Barb Walker, Lowell, Ken, and John Beerman; Amy Howard; special people in her life, Rosanne Rey, Joe Trigg, Lucille Collins; and her dog, Callie, to whom she was very devoted. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Brown presiding. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with the Rosary prayed at 6:00 PM. MEMORIALS to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
