Betty Lou Buzzell's Obituary
Betty Lou (Michaels) Buzzell, age 80, of Spring Lake passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. She was born January 22, 1929, in Fennville to Carl and Rena (Carmen) Frost and married Richard Michaels in 1947 who preceded her in death, she later married Frank Buzzell who also preceded her in death.
Betty Lou was a dietician aid who had worked at both North Ottawa Hospital and area nursing homes. She was affiliated with the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene and had assisted with Bible study groups. Betty enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, yard sales, soap operas and reading, especially the Bible.
She leaves behind 3 daughters; Rhonda Berry of Ravenna, Barbara A. Cross of TN, Linda (Mike) Ebert of TN, 2 sons; Dennis (Terri) Michaels of Holland, Perry Michaels of Spring Lake, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a sister Louise Ressequie of AK and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son Richard and two brothers, Herbert and Robert.
The service for Betty Lou will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Craig Shafer officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene are appreciated.
