Beverly (Lawie) Provost's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly (Lawie) Provost, age 71, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at her home. She was born June 24, 1938 in Muskegon, MI to Louis and Muriel (Moyer) Lawie and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. She graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 1957. On May 10, 1975, she married Frank Provost in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in July 1995. Beverly was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include her sister, Norma (Walter) Weber; her brothers, James (Anne) Lawie, Richard Lawie, Larry (Pat) Lawie; close friend, Donna Christianson; 3 generations of nieces and nephews whom she treated as her “children”; MCC friends – “Belles of St. Mary’s” from St. Mary, St. Jean’s, St. Joseph and St. Michael Parishes; and her friends from Bear Creek Apartments. She was predeceased by her mutually devoted husband, Frank, and her parents, Louis and Muriel Lawie. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Phillip A. Sliwinski as celebrant and Rev. Fr. Tony M. Pelak as concelebrant. VIGIL FOR THE DECEASED will be held 7:30 PM Friday at Prince of Peace.
