Beverly Jo Batchelor Carpenter's Obituary
Beverly Jo Batchelor Carpenter, age 85, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at Seminole Shores Living Center. She was born September 20, 1934 in Des Moines, IA to Melbourne and Roberta (McAtee) Harrison. Beverly married Thomas R. Batchelor in June of 1952 and they divorced in 1970. She later married William R. Carpenter in May of 1972 and he preceded her in death in November of 2001. Beverly enjoyed reminiscing about times past with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed time spent at Pere Marquette Park and loved being outdoors. She enjoyed stained glass and her faith was much a part of her life. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include 2 sons, Terry L. (Marcia) Batchelor, Timothy K. (Carmen) Batchelor; 4 grandchildren, Joshua Batchelor, Heather (Chad) Lee, Haley Batchelor, Hannah (Trevor) Tejchma; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Robert C. (Robin) Johnson; 2 stepchildren, Nancy D. (Steve) Doctor, Laurel A. (Ted) Pitynski; 1 stepdaughter-in-law, Cindy Carpenter; and 6 step grandchildren, Chrissy (Harley) Obzut, Katie (Andrew) Morgan, Bethany (Nicholas) Heystek, Brittney (John) Lyons, Paige Pitynski, and Sydney Pitynski. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carpenter; her daughter, Penny J. DuPont; her stepson, Richard Carpenter; and her stepfather, Morris Johnson.
