Mrs Beverly Jean Chandonnet's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly Chandonnet, age 83, passed away early Sunday morning, September 9, 2012. Beverly was born July 23, 1929 in Muskegon to Elmer and Hattie (Shelner) Wood Sr. On April 23, 1949 she married Victor Chandonnet and together they raised 6 children. Bev was a fantastic mom and a wonderful homemaker who knew how to stretch the budget. In the early years she enjoyed fishing and camping at “the lake”. Over the years Beverly knitted thousands of newborn baby caps for area hospitals. In the later years, she enjoyed her time on the lake; feeding Herman, her pet goose. Most of all Bev enjoyed her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beverly is survived by her husband, Victor Chandonnet Sr.; her children, Monica (Edward) Merrill, Victor “Skip” Chandonnet Jr., Cindra (Robert) Bringedahl, all of Muskegon and Lexi (Bryan) Kust of Waunakee, WI; 2 sons-in-law, Doug Charnock and Steve Waddell; 7 grandchildren, Andrew (Shelly) Rush, Rodney and Chad Chandonnet, Rachael (Ryan) McEnhill, Casey (Alisha) Bringedahl, Zach and Lauren Kust; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Elmer Wood Jr.; 2 daughters, Marla Chandonnet-Charnock and Lisa Waddell; and her granddaughter, Alina Chandonnet; A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at
The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 1-231-798-1100 with Rev. Father Michael Olson officiating. VISITATION will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service (10-11AM). MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Interment will be in Mona View Cemetery.
