Beverly E. Flowers-Coleman's Obituary
Beverly Flowers-Coleman, age 70, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. She was born August 10, 1950 in Muskegon to Charlie and Grace (Cole) Flowers and lived here most of her life. Prior to retiring, Beverly worked as a weatherization caseworker for the City of Muskegon. On January 20, 1994, she married Wallace D. Coleman in Muskegon and he survives her. Beverly was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church. Beverly was a member of the United Quilters Association and enjoyed many crafts which included quilting, knitting, and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, Wallace D. Coleman; 6 children, Grace Flowers, Brett (Chandreca) Hughes, Keino Jamal Coleman, Christee Hall, Carmelita (Johnny) Coleman, Tasha Lockridge; Goddaughter, Apryl Alcorn; 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Brodrick (Debra) Flowers, Brett (Shelly) Flowers; 3 sisters, Bonnie Potts, Barbara (Donald) Taylor, and Bonita Flowers; and a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 grandson, Robert Jones. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 13, 2020 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be held 4-7PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
