Beverly Mae Frank's Obituary
Beverly Mae “Bev” Frank, age 90, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at The Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. She was born May 28, 1933 in Muskegon to Edward and Katherine (VanderHeuvel) Medendorp and was a lifetime resident. Bev married Charles L. Frank on January 24, 1998 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2008. Prior to her retirement, Bev worked 28 years in shipping and inspection at Howmet Corp where she was also very active with Local #1243 in Whitehall. Bev enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. She was an avid reader and loved to quilt. She was also very involved over 30 years in ceramics. She was active for over 30 years with the Red Hatters Society – “The Scarlet O’Hatters”. Bev attended Dalton Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and recently attended First Lutheran Church. Survivors include 5 children, Barry (Carol) Medendorp, Greg (Sandy) Hazelmyer, Steve (Debra) Neinas, Diane Kroll, Dan (Dawn) Neinas; 1 step-son, Rick (Laura) Frank; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; and 1 sister-in-law, Lucy Medendorp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Frank; her parents; and 1 brother, LeRoy Medendorp. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 28, 2023 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Rev. Pastor Bill Uetricht officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at East Dalton-Oakhill Cemetery.
