Mrs. Beverly E. Gerrans' Obituary
Mrs. Beverly E. Gerrans, 87, passed away Thursday evening, September 4, 2014. Born September 23, 1926 in Hesperia to Richard and Blanche (Wilson) Townsend, she lived in Muskegon since 1943. Beverly married Charles L. “Charlie” Gerrans January 19, 1946, and he died October 25, 1998. Beverly had been a Parts Inspector at Howmet for 25 years before retiring. Her SURVIVORS include four children: Julie Ann (Gordon) Bates, Gary (Barbara) Gerrans, David Gerrans, and Kaye Fitzgerald; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Sprague. She was also preceded in death by brothers Robert and William Townsend; grandsons Eric Charles Fitzgerald and Joshua Gerrans; and great-grandson Joseph Gerrans. Beverly liked to collect violin bottles, stamps, coins, and rocks, and was always interested in helping others. VISITATION with her family will be Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 from 12N-1 PM, followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 1:00 P.M. at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442; Phone 231-726-5210 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Parkinson’s Assn. of W. Mich. would be appreciated.
