Mrs. Beverly R. (Hadley) Sorensen's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly R. (Hadley) Sorensen, age 80, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on June 24, 1932 to Paul and Madge (Fletcher) Hadley and graduated from North Muskegon High School in 1950. She had worked as a secretary for Reeths Puffer Schools before becoming employed by First of America Bank where she retired as Vice President in 1992. Beverly was a member of the Viking Linne’ Lodge #57 and was an accomplished quilter. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. On March 26, 1951, Beverly married Russell A. Sorensen in Muskegon and he survives her along with their children, Rick (Peggy) Sorensen and Amy (Jerry) Kern; 4 grandchildren, Paul and Kaj Sorensen and Zane and Makayla Kern; and 2 sisters, Evelyn (Robert) Fenner and Maxine (Robert) Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Bette Frank. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at
The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. William Uetricht officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS to Johnson Family Cancer Center or Mercy Visiting Nurse Services would be appreciated.
