Beverly Jean Houseman's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly Jean Houseman, age 90, passed away in Muskegon, Michigan on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She was born in Muskegon on December 21, 1933 to Arthur and Dorothy (Wagner) Zillah. Beverly married John Houseman on January 14, 1955 and they enjoyed 69 years of marriage. She was a talented baker and will especially be remembered for her fried chicken, pies, and homemade donuts. Bev enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and quilting. She also enjoyed camping with her family and spending time together around the family pool. She is survived by her husband, John; five children, Gary (Nancy) Houseman, Robert (Joni) Houseman, Janet (Joel) LaRue, Richard (Cathy) Houseman, and Tammie (Gordon) Burnham; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren (with number 14 due in October); and her sister, Marva Helmer. Bev was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Cheryl Ann Houseman. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Fruitland Covenant Church with Rev. Carl Franzon officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. MEMORIALS in memory of Beverly may be directed to Fruitland Covenant Church.
