Beverly Jean Lucken's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly Jean Lucken, age 84, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015. She was born December 1, 1930 in Scottville, MI to Robert and Rosa (Fredericks) Pinkerton, Sr. On December 3, 1949 she married Walter James Lucken in Scottville and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2005. Mrs. Lucken worked as a clerk for Benson Drug for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Beverly enjoyed traveling, going to the Kentucky Derby, and golfing. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts and going to U of M football games with her daughter Linda, who was a season ticket holder. She and Linda also went several times a week for a ride with the dog down by Lake Michigan. SURVIVORS include 2 sons: Tom (Patty) Lucken of Norton Shores, Tim (Susan) Lucken of Birmingham, MI; grandson, Ryan Lucken of Baltimore, MD; 2 brothers: Robert Pinkerton, Jr. of Scottville, MI and James (Marilyn) Pinkerton of Ludington, MI; and a sister-in-law, Maureen Hall of Norton Shores. She was also preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Linda Lucken. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2015 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
