Beverly E. Mellifont's Obituary
Beverly E. Mellifont, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 9, 1936, to Marshall and Orpha (Sanders) Pleimling in Muskegon, MI, where she remained a lifelong resident. Beverly married Fern Mellifont, and together they were blessed with four daughters. She devoted herself to creating a loving home and supporting her children with unwavering care. Fern preceded her in death in 1972. Later, Beverly married Frank Waters, and the couple welcomed a son. They shared many cherished memories together before his passing. She later married Marshall Roberts, who also preceded her in death. A natural nurturer, Beverly spent several years caring for others through her work at Robidoux’s Adult Foster Care. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of fall, especially day trips to admire the changing colors. A talented crocheter, she found joy in making lap throws for friends and family. Above all, Beverly treasured her time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother, doting grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. She is survived by her children, Lorinda Williams, June (Harry) Mellifont, Marsha (Michael Jr.) Lindstrom and Daniel (Sara) Waters; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Fern Mellifont; daughter, Rosalee (Carl) Mitchell; second husband, Frank Waters; third husband, Marshall Roberts; son-in-law, Robert Williams; and beloved pup, Brutus. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, with visitation one-hour prior. Memorial Contributions in her honor can be directed to Harbor Hospice for the amazing care they provided her.
