Beverly Jean Thielman's Obituary
Beverly “Bev” Thielman was welcomed into heaven on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 94 in Montague, MI. She was born on February 3, 1930, in Muskegon, MI to Harvey and Isabel (Dunn) Hancock. Bev attended Muskegon Heights High School, graduating in 1948. The next year she met the love of her life, Eugene Thielman, and they were married on March 5, 1950, spending 67 wonderful years together. They enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, and spent winters at their home in Polk City, FL surrounded by friends and always keeping their doors open for family to visit. Bev was known for her delicious cooking and baking, something her grandchildren especially adored her for, as they were always the loving recipients when they visited. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor that always brought about laughter. Bev also loved to play games, read, and for many years held ceramics classes in her home. She always had a loving pet by her side, and Zoey was her constant companion these last 4 years. Bev is survived by her daughter: Debra Yonkman; daughter-in-law: Lois Thielman; grandchildren: Nicole (Leif) Oquist, Jeff Thielman, Steve (Marci) Thielman, and Eugene Morningstar; great grandchildren: Dylan and Delaney Hopma, Olive and Odin Oquist, and Laura and Annie Thielman; sisters-in-law: Gayle Bickowski and Coral Wiles; along with step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents: Harvey and Isabel Hancock; spouse: Eugene Thielman; sisters: Marilyn Devries and Norna Krug; son: Chuck Thielman; son-in-law: Robert Yonkman. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
VISITATION will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Lee Chapel, 6291 S Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 with a FUNERAL SERVICE following at 3:00 PM.
