Beverly J. Thompson's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly J. Thompson, age 86, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Muskegon. She was born on September 17, 1930 in Muskegon to James and Gertrude Carpenter, and resided in the area all her life. Bev worked in the restaurant business for 21 years before retiring in 1990, and then became a realtor in the area for Century 21 and Coastal Realty for another 10 years. She is survived by 4 children, Alan Thompson of Florida, Carolyn (Alan) Ritter of Norton Shores, Paul (Sheri) Thompson of Fruitport, and Barb (Dan) Wood of N. Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, Michael (Kristin) Ritter, Jamie Ritter, Jennifer (Augie) Cabrera, Jon (Mandy) Thompson, Jacqueline Thompson, Justin Thompson, Samantha Thompson, Angie Eikenberry, Matthew Eikenberry, Brianna Gardner, Keurra Wood, and Ryleigh Wood; 12 great-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Peggy Gilmore and Marva Patterson. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Roland Carpenter and Jimmy Carpenter; and sister, Shirley Hill. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11AM Thursday, July 20 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.
