When we were first married and teaching in downtown Detroit, your dad had a difficult 6th grade. I don't remember what the boy did, but he ran....out of the class, out of the school, down the sidewalk he went! He did NOT expect your dad to chase after him, so when he glanced over his shoulder, his eyes almost popped out of his head. Your dad was in a suit and dress shoes, but he chased that boy almost to Belle Isle and caught him! And the rest of the class? They were hanging out of the windows on the 3rd floor, cheering. I would imagine that story gets told at their reunions. Your dad was not going to let that boy win.
May the peace of God rule in your hearts family. My husband and I eloped and uncle Bill was our witness at the White Chapel in Vegas 😂 Our hearts are heavy, but we have so many great memories. Much love and prayers 💞🙏🏽
