Billy "Bill" T. Willett's Obituary
Mr. Billy "Bill" T. Willett, age 63, died Thursday morning, July 28, 2005, at Mercy Hospital. He was born March 5, 1942 in Troy, TN to Ora & Wilma (Dyer) Willett; and has resided in the Muskegon area the past 58 years. Bill had been a Product Engineer for Sealed Power Corporation for 35 years prior to working 7 years at Federal Mogul of Southfield, MI., before retiring in 2000. He had also been a co-owner, with his wife, Sue, of the K-Nine Classy Cuts Salon in Roosevelt Park. Bill was a life-member of the Church of Christ and also belonged to the North American Hunting Club, the Lovell-Moore Lodge, F. & A.M., Phoenix Chapter #449, of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Fox-Terrier Club, the Muskegon Junior Achievement Association and Big Brother of Southfield, MI. He was also a Scout Master in Muskegon for the Boy Scouts of America. Bill was a multi-talented person who loved hunting, fishing, traveling and was also an accomplished artist. On June 16, 1961 he married the former Sue C. Evans and she survives him along with 2 children, William “Scott” (Monica) Willett of Gilbert, AZ and Michelle (Brian) Ten Hove of Surprise, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Kristin, Nathan & Ashley; 1 great-grandchild, Kamryn; 2 sisters, Joyce (Bobby) Ashley of Hornbeak, TN and Kay (Bill) Lang of Federalsburg, MD and by his special aunt, Flora Irene Barber of Muskegon. SERVICES will be 2 PM Saturday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6 – 8 PM Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. MEMORIAL GIFTS to the N.O.A.H. Project, the Humane Society or the Muskegon County Animal Shelter will be appreciated.
